Si è conclusa la 14^ edizione del torneo internazionale Nico nel Cuore…, che quest’anno ha registrato numeri e presenze da record rispetto agli anni precedenti. Come infatti spiega Andrea Toffali, presidente dell’associazione Nico nel Cuore ed organizzatore del torneo insieme al Montorio Calcio e il Niù Castel, società amatoriale della quale era presidente Nicola Invento a cui è dedicato il torneo, «Quest’anno abbiamo registrato un afflusso di persone incredibile. Molte di loro sono inoltre rimaste per tutto il giorno, approfittando della possibilità di mangiare al PalaNico» la tensostruttura allestita per l’occasione «contribuendo così alla raccolta fondi per aiutare la popolazione di Ticllos in Perù, alla quale ogni anno viene destinato l’intero ricavato, così come anche aiutando l’associazione L’Idea del Mamo di Montorio che sensibilizza e informa riguardo alla donazione del midollo osseo». Questo grazie anche al supporto di sponsor importanti e all’operato di tanti volontari. «Non potremo riuscire a fare un torneo di queste proporzioni senza l’aiuto di sponsor come Agsm, le Funivie del Baldo e Frattamagrini, ma soprattutto grazie al lavoro di settanta volontari i quali, dal primo all’ultimo giorno, sono sempre stati al campo di Montorio per dare il proprio contributo, senza dimenticare il supporto dell’amministrazione comunale». Per una manifestazione che ha superato ogni aspettativa. «I venticinque volontari dell’Operazione Mato Grosso hanno lavorato ininterrottamente in cucina per fare fronte alle tante richieste. Tra le varie iniziative benefiche, oltre alla consueta lotteria delle maglie dei campioni, abbiamo fatto meglio degli altri anni anche riguardo alla raccolta delle scarpe da calcio da regalare ai bambini di Ticllos, visto che ne sono state raccolte 153 paia, a differenza dell’anno scorso quando ne erano state spedite circa 140 paia». Lo stesso riguardo anche al torneo giocato. «Quest’anno le novità erano la presenza del Chelsea e del Bayern Monaco, entrambe soddisfatte e pronte a ritornare. Ha vinto, a mio avviso meritatamente, l’Atletico di Madrid, alla sua terza partecipazione ma, quello che ci ha dato maggior soddisfazione, sono stati i complimenti ricevuti dai dirigenti di Milan e Juventus, dicendoci che era stato riscontrato un alto tasso tecnico ed un’organizzazione simile ai tornei che si svolgono in Europa». A breve dunque si saprà il dato più importante, e cioè cosa e quanto partirà nei containers con destinazione Ticllos.

The 14^ edition of Nico nel cuore has come to an end and this year has reached a new record of numbers and presence compared to the other years. Andrea Toffali, president of the association of Nico nel cuore and manager of the tournament together with Montorio Calcio and Niù Castel, amatorial society of which the president was Nicola Invento, to whom the tournament is dedicated, explains “This year we recorded an incredible influx of people. Many of them stayed for the whole days, taking the chance to eat at the PalaNico”, the tensile structure built for the occasion “contributing to fundraising to help the people that live in Ticllos in Perù, to which the entire proceeds are destinated every year, as well as helping the association “L’Idea del Mamo” of Montorio, that sensitizes and informs about the donation of bone marrow.” All of this thank also to the support of important sponsor and the help of all the volunteers. “We’ll not be able to do this tournament of this size without the help of the sponsor as Agsm, the Funivie del Baldo e Frattamagrini, but specially a great thank to the work of the seventy volunteers that, since the first day, stayed always to work to give their contribute to the tournament. The last thank goes to the communal administration.” For a manifestation that exceeded the expectation. “The twenty-five volunteers of the Operazione Mato Grosso worked without stopping in the kitchen trying to satisfy all the requests. Between all the beneficial initiatives, beyond the usual charity’s lottery whit all the soccer’s t-shirts, we did our best also collecting as much football’s shoes as possible to give as a gift to the children of Ticllos. We’ve been able to collect 153 pairs of shoes, differently to the last year, when “only” 140 pairs have been sent to Perù. The same regard to the tournament played, too. “This year the News was the presence of Chelsea and Bayern München, both very satisfied and ready to come back next year. The winner of this year was Atletico Madrid, which is participating since 2015, but, what gave us more satisfaction, were the compliments given us from Milan’s and Juventus’s managers, they told us that in this tournament there was a very high level talking about technique and organization, that can be compared to the European’s tournaments.” Very soon we’ll know what and how much we’re going to send to the containers destined to Ticllos.
